Awards: MTA Arts-for-Transit commission, National Endowment for the Arts grant, MacDowell Colony residency in painting, Fulbright Scholarship (Cairo), Massachusetts Council on the Arts Fellowship. Selected exhibitions: Lohin Geduld Gallery, Arsenal 16, Pace University Gallery, Albany Center Gallery (New York), Bienale (Ecuador), Van Buren, Brazilton, Cutting Gallery, Atelier du Caire (Cairo), Yale, Northeastern University, American Academy of Arts and Letters, Franklin Furnace, Vassar College. Lectured at Kanazawa College of Art (Japan), Yale School of Art, University of Massachusetts, Brown University, Boston Women’s Art Caucus. Visiting artist, Hampshire College. At Bard since 1986.
