Biography:
Co-Chair, Painting. B.F.A., School of Visual Arts; M.F.A., Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College. Represented by Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York (solo shows: 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2010.) Sillman's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the United States and Europe, including The Whitney Museum of American Art; The Hirshhorn Museum, DC; The New Museum of Contemporary Art; The Hammer Museum, LA, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; The Museum of Modern Art, Bologna; The Saatchi Collection, London. Works held in public collections include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Art Institute of Chicago. Bio: "First Person Singular," (2008), a publication accompanying her solo show at the Hirschorn Museum and The Tang Museum, Saratoga, NY; "Between Artists: Amy Sillman and Gregg Bordowitz," (2007), A.R.T. Press, NY; and "Amy Sillman: Works on Paper," a monograph on her drawings, was published by Gregory R. Miller & Co. (2006), Awards include the Radcliffe Fellowship, (2010), the Guna S. Mundheim Fellowship from The American Academy in Berlin (2009), The Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship (2001-02) and The Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award (1999-2000).Contact:
