Passionate about Environmental Education?
The Bard Center for Environmental Policy and The Bard Masters of Arts in Teaching Program announce the launch of a new M.Ed in Environmental Education degree program at Bard College in New York’s Hudson Valley, beginning Fall 2018.
Distinctive program features include:
- Integrated, interdisciplinary curriculum.
- Unmatched interaction with exceptional faculty.
- High-level, extended professional internship.
- Strong career development, mentoring and placement.
- Scholarship support available.
The M.Ed. program prepares educators to create an informed and engaged citizenry that will support progress towards a just, prosperous, and sustainable future. Through intensive academic training, real world professional experience, and career development opportunities the program enables graduates to pursue successful, high-impact careers in NGO’s, government land management agencies, private land conservation organizations, private schools, museums, environmental education centers, and consulting firms.
Bard College is located ninety miles north of New York City, in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Financial aid for the new program is available. Applications will be accepted starting in October of 2017. Please sign up here if you would like to receive more information, or contact Bard CEP Admissions Counselor Caitlin O’Donnell, [email protected].

Note: The new M.Ed program does not provide certification to teach in the public school system. The Bard MAT offers a public school certification with a biology specialization. The M.Ed. program, by contrast, is for students pursuing careers in the education space outside of the public school classroom.
