Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) is an opportunity for students to study science in nearby Millbrook, New York. 

Columbia University Summer Ecosystem Experiences 
Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates at Columbia University: The Summer Ecosystem Experiences for Undergraduates (SEE-U) program provides undergraduate students of all majors with a global understanding of ecology and environmental sustainability. 

Aldo Leopold Land Stewardship Program 
The Land Stewardship Internship provides experience in practical, on-the-ground land management based on Aldo Leopold’s Land Ethic philosophy. 

Berkeley Summer Institute for Environmental Design 
This six-week summer program consists of [IN]ARCH, [IN]LAND and [IN]CITY, three introductory programs in architecture, landscape architecture and city planning for post-baccalaureate students or senior-level undergraduates, and [IN]ARCH ADV, an advanced studio for students who have an undergraduate degree in architecture or who are senior-level architecture majors. Participants in the Summer [IN]STITUTE explore the methods and theories of the fields, experience the culture of design and planning studios, connect to top faculty and practitioners, and build a portfolio for graduate school application. 

Arcadia University Environmental Studies Summer Program 
This popular summer field studies program brings you backpacking through three weeks in Australia and two in New Zealand. While studying abroad you'll gain an understanding of Australia and New Zealand's unique wilderness environments and their significance to indigenous and contemporary societies, focusing on the environment, environmental ethics, culture and sustainability in fascinating locations.

Eco Practicum's Resilience + Resistance NYC 
Eco Practicum is an environmental sustainability and action program for college students and recent graduates. Resilience + Resistance NYC is an experiential summer program for current college students, recent graduates, and young professionals interested in engaging with the most pressing socio-environmental issues of our time and working towards social and ecological justice. Part think tank, part action workshop, participants grow food, learn from peers, and meet with the foremost experts in the field.

Hamilton Adirondack Program 
This program combines rigorous academic study with the skills and understanding gained through field work and internships in the Adirondack Park with local organizations and in wilderness contexts. The focus is on local environmental issues with global implications and applications—with the goal of extending these vital lessons into students' future careers and life plans.

Graduate Programs

Bard Center for Environmental Policy 
The Bard Center for Environmental Policy’s graduate programs combine an intensive course of study with practical training in preparation for environmental careers in nonprofit organizations, government, and the private sector. The programs emphasize methods of critical inquiry and provide the practical knowledge necessary to understand the legal, political, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethical forces that influence the decision-making process. 

Bard MBA in Sustainability 
The Bard MBA in Sustainability prepares students for leadership positions in a variety of business environments—from innovative start-ups to major corporations—with in-depth knowledge of core business skills through the lens of sustainability. The curriculum provides a grounding in management essentials, with a continual focus on the integrated bottom line: economic success, environmental integrity, and social equity.

Rice Architecture 
Rice Architecture is a design school that places an emphasis on architectural and urban theory. Its graduate program includes courses in four areas—design studio, history/theory, technology, and practice—and leads to a professional MArch degree recognized by the National Architecture Accrediting Board.

Temple University MA Program in Geography and Urban Studies 
The Department of Geography and Urban Studies at Temple University aims to provide undergraduate and graduate instruction and research related to urban systems, nature and society, international development, and spatial analysis, with a special emphasis on the geographic analysis of urban dynamics. 

UC Santa Barbara Graduate Programs 
The graduate programs at UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science and Management integrate science, management, law, economics, and policy as part of an interdisciplinary approach to environmental problem solving.

The Watson Fellowship 
The Watson Fellowship is a one-year grant for independent study and travel outside the United States awarded to graduating college seniors nominated by participating institutions. 

The Fulbright Program 
The Fulbright Program offers grants to study, teach, and conduct research for U.S. citizens to go abroad and for non-U.S citizens to come to the United States.
