Organization Overview
Bridging Nations is a nonprofit, policy organization based in Washington D.C. that explores ways to facilitate cooperation in an increasingly interdependent and multipolar world.
In 2002, Bridging Nations was established in order to explore ways to make countries more competitive in light of the changing world order. As a response to the increasing need for understanding among nations, Bridging Nations has since aimed to build cultural, political and economic bridges.”The India-China Center initiative is an example of Bridging Nation’s efforts to increase understanding among nations.” This center strives to strengthen India-China relations by identifying overlapping interests and involving more people in the policy making process.
There is perhaps no greater need for bridge building than in the field of energy. Therefore, in 2011, Bridging Nations established the College of Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES) to educate people globally about energy technology and policy. The College offers online courses that combine interactive academic learning with practical mentorship programs. Attendance has quadrupled every trimester, and the College currently enrolls students from over 20 countries.
