Organization Overview
Clean Water Action (CWA) is a national environmental non-profit working on the federal, state, and the local level holding politicians accountable to keep our waterways clean. We are 100% citizen-funded and win 90% of our local, state, and national campaigns by building grassroots support.

▪ Protecting consumers by unveiling toxic chemicals in our everyday products.
▪ Preventing marine debris.
▪ Address the impacts of climate change on our water resources.
Description
CWA California is looking for motivated individuals with good communication skills to join our team and help politically mobilize bay area communities and make democracy work!
Responsibilities
▪Mobilizing communities by political district. Speaking with community members at their home and getting them involved in CWA campaigns.
▪Educating community members and raising awareness of environmental and public health issues.
▪Raising funds to keep Clean Water Action self-sustaining.
▪Generating letters to government representatives.
▪ Working to elect clean water advocates to public office.

This is a full time position. Hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Temporary Summer Opportunities:
Spend your summer gaining valuable hands-on campaign experience!
We hire students to do this job on a temporary basis during their summer breaks.
Qualifications
▪ Passion for social change and environmental protection.
▪Working knowledge of environmental and political issues.
▪Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
▪Prefer people with educational goals but no degree required.
▪If you are applying from out of state, you must be able to move to San Francisco for training.
