Organization Overview
Friends of the Earth is part of a federation of grassroots groups in 76 countries fighting for a more healthy and just world. Our top domestic campaign priorities include protecting the public from dangerous nuclear reactors, promoting environmentally responsible federal budget practices (including an end to taxpayer subsidies for polluters), and preventing the construction of an oil pipeline that would bring the world’s dirtiest oil from Canada to the United States. We’re a principled and progressive organization known for speaking sometimes uncomfortable truths to power, and our campaigns demonstrate our belief that the fight for justice and the movement to protect the health of the planet are part of the same struggle.

- Working with the communications team and campaigners, s/he will help develop the media strategy for our campaign communications plans that advance key objectives. These plans will include clear, achievable goals, target audiences, messages, tactics and timelines.
