Climate Change WORKSHOP 2012 – Join us at Norrie Point Environmental Center for Hudson Valley Climate Change Network. It’s a collaboration between the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, The Nature Conservancy and NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary Program, hosting presentations on new research from Cornell University that focus on climate change attitudes and watershed land use. Shorna Allred and Allison Chatrchyan discuss the attitudes of local Hudson Valley government officials regarding climate change effects on their communities and their future needs. Art DeGaetano focuses on the effects of land use and runoff on different watersheds, using this information he estimates the green infrastructure needs to offset potential increased rainfall from climate change.
