Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, organization, implementation and marketing of environmental education programs targeting schools, community organizations, neighborhood associations and the general public to increase awareness and participation. Work schedule can be somewhat flexible although regular hours need to be maintained once a schedule has been established. Position may require ability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in education, environmental science, marketing or related field and (1) one year of related experience which may include volunteer positions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background and SCR clearance check. Ability to develop creative, innovative educational programs and ideas. Knowledge of newsletter, advertisement, brochure, press release and marketing development techniques. Knowledge of educational and informational presentation techniques for a wide variety of audiences. Knowledge of research, analysis and application techniques for grant programs and funding preferred. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Photoshop or similar software. Skill in networking with community organizations, businesses and County/State entities. Skill in Team Building ideas and initiatives is preferred.
