3rd Annual Blue Mind Summit – Block Island, RI – May 29-31
Event: Blue Mind Summit
Location: Block Island, RI
Date/Time: May 29-31, 2013.
Description: Blue Mind brings together neuroscientists and aquatic experts to explore new questions about our connection to water, leading to a fast-growing new field we call neuroconservation. This year, we will consider neurogeography, neuroaesthetics, dopamine addiction (surfing and seafood), the science of empathy, and neurolinguistics through a “blue” lens.
Researchers from Harvard, NYU, Vanderbilt, Long Island University, and California Academy of Sciences are among the presenters, joined by ocean advocates and educators from a dozen organizations and agencies. Blue Mind 3 is sponsored by Peak Teams, SoniSingh.org, USFWS, SEEtheWILD, J DuClos, SNAP International, OceanRevolution.org, and The Ocean Foundation.
