Description:
The Research and Policy Coordinator will be responsible for discovering and tracking which issues specific to energy, and the environment as it relates to energy, are under consideration by various boards of elected officials at the Federal, State, and Local Municipal levels. The Coordinator will present to the Executive Director and Program Director for consideration which issues they believe ought to be addressed by the Organization, and develop, on recommendation of those Directors the policies that should be addressed by the Organization, and develop and implement, with the assistance of the Board and of the Research and Policy Committee, the plan for addressing the issues.
For example, these are issues specific to Energy, and the environment as it relates to energy, that the Organization has already developed plans of actions for in the past:
- Promotion of Renewable Energy
- Reduction of Energy Use
- Demotion of Fossil Fuels and concern over fossil fuel depletion
- Climate Change as it relates to Energy Use
