Come to the Learning Commons’ Fall 2013 Writers’ Room series, “Shut Up and Write!” which meets again Wednesday, September 25, from 5:00-6:30 pm in Aspinwall 302,
facilitated by Learning Commons’ coordinator, Sean Newcott (’13).
Our writing-intensive study room provides a quiet, productive space for you to work on your writing assignments, bookended by a short prompts to get you started and to reflect on your successes.
The Writers’ Room is a space to
Respond to informal-writing prompts designed overcome inertia,
Write with friends (silently, naturally),
Celebrate the writing that you accomplish, and
Draft plans for where to go next.
You may use these sessions to work on writing your essays, projects, or anything else. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome.
Bring in any writing that you’re working on, and we hope to see you there.
