Description
Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) Great Plains Regional office in Bismarck, North Dakota, is seeking a highly-qualified individual to fill a conservation policy internship. This is a one-year intern position that will assist DU’s professional staff in researching and promoting public policy priorities affecting wetlands, waterfowl, water and other agricultural conservation issues. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience and knowledge working with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, biologists, engineers and government affairs personnel on regional and national policy issues. Applicants should be highly-motivated individuals that possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, computer knowledge, and be able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Knowledge of wildlife conservation, wetlands, agriculture and water policies and the legislative process is highly desired.
