Description: The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) is a regional non-profit organization based in Chicago with a mission to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest to support sustainable economic development and environmental preservation. MEEA is a collective voice for energy efficiency at a national, regional and state level; acts as a clearinghouse to identify, evaluate and create successful programs and market assessments for the region; and, fosters communication on effective energy policy.

Responsibilities: The Program Associate will work under the supervision of the Programs Manager and Director of Programs to support MEEA commercial building programming including the Building Operator Certification (BOC) Program and other commercial training programs in the Midwest.

Primary Tasks:

•Buidling operator certification program

•State Program Coordination

•Serve as a contact for inquiries about programs and BOC training and assist individuals

and program partners with the registration process.

•Facilitate communications with participants; monitor the online registration system and

registration procedures.

•Schedule instructors and coordinators, create instructor contracts as necessary and

ensure instructors have the most up-to-date curriculum materials.

•Monitor program expenses for assigned states. Review expenses to ensure compliance

with grant and program sponsor agreements. Work closely with the Accounting team to

submit invoices for payment and monitor expenses incurred from BOC series on Programs

credit card.

•Assist with grant management including preparation of program progress reports and

required financial backup. Prepare and submit monthly or quarterly financial reports,

reimbursement requests, and invoices as required by grant and program sponsor

agreements.

•Assist with program promotional efforts as needed. This may include print and on-line

marketing, developing and compiling target lists for direct program promotion and remote

and in person contact with prospective participants and program partners.

•May be called on to travel to classes to observe and provide presentations on MEEA at

local, regional, and national conferences and events. Travel up to 10%.

•Manage partner relations in assigned states. Seek and follow up on new opportunities and

partnerships to offer BOC in assigned states.

•Complete a variety of program administration tasks including but not limited to: order

books and program materials from NEEC; create project folders for students; send copies

of exams, answer sheets, PowerPoint presentations, and evaluations to coordinators and

instructors.

•Assist with development and deployment of press releases and articles for MEEA

publications and industry newsletters.

•Provide support to program evaluation efforts as needed, including organizing post-class

surveys.

•Other duties as may be assigned to support the ongoing development of a sustainable,

long-term BOC program and expand program activities in the Midwest region.

•Assist with new program initiatives, special projects, etc. as assigned.

•Support other MEEA programs through additional supportive tasks as requested.
