Market-based approaches to reduce GHG emissions have emerged as key instruments for international and national climate policy making. The UNFCCC process (with the upcoming COP in Lima, and the crucial COP 21 in Paris) is showing progress towards defining a long lasting framework for the AFOLU sector (including for REDD+MRV and finance). These climate policy advisory services will be required to support the development of sustainable land use sector / agricultural sector programs or projects. Our clients are multi-lateral organisations and development banks and NGOs.
Responsibilities: As a member of our asset development unit, you will work on the implementation of project development and advisory mandates in the land use area in an international team and with external experts and organisations.
Support South Pole Carbon’s forestry project department in technical work and support of marketing and sales of solutions such as forest carbon credits or forest footprints.
