Description: Transcarbon International Corporation, founded in Silicon Valley in 2006 by Sébastien Raoux, is an independent consulting firm assisting the private sector, the public sector, the voluntary sector, and civil society in implementing sustainable development practices, including climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. Our leadership combines extensive experience in environmental sustainability —particularly in the areas of climate change, energy, and clean technologies—, as well as in business, legal, and public policy consulting. We serve our clients worldwide from our offices in the United States of America and Argentina, with Transcarbon Africa Middle East S.A.R.L based in Morocco and providing services in Africa and the Middle East.
Transcarbon International is currently receiving applications for a position of Country Expert on Low Carbon Technologies for Mexico. The successful candidate will provide LCT technical assistance and also work with various stakeholders, engaging with local resources and technology marketplace players, to facilitate and coordinate the development and implementation of deals, business plans, and operations in Mexico. The expert would be initially committed as a part-time consultant.
Qualifications:
- Must be permanently based in country specific to job selected for and be willing to travel occasionally within the country and internationally as it may be required.
- Outstanding academic and technical credentialsare essential. Must have an advanced degree inEngineering and/or Business and at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including:
– substantial local business experience working with or for the technology industry and solid knowledge regarding the leading businesses and the technology market in post country;
– specific knowledge of low carbon technologies and relevant institutions, as well as of the policies, laws and regulatory framework applicable to climate change and low carbon technology transfer in post country;
- Strong work ethicsand superb communication skills. Oral fluency and superior written skills in both Spanish or French or Portuguese (depending on job applied for) and English are a must.
