Description: The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council is seeking a full-time program director to manage and oversee the council’s Greenway maintenance and planting program. The program director will work in the field and in the office, and will hire and train a staff of River Rangers and manage volunteer groups to preserve the parks and bike path along the 7-mile Woonasquatucket River Greenway.
Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the Greenway maintenance program, including staff supervision and program evaluation; develop a landscape management and planting plan for the 7-mile path; complete monthly progress reports for federal billing purposes; oversee 8-week job training program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in landscape design or equivalent work experience; demonstrated management experience; proven organizational skills; experience with record keeping and reporting; experience managing projects and leading groups; some Spanish language skills preferred.
