Description: The Climate Action Liaison Coalition (CALC) fellowship is a multifaceted position requiring the ability to work independently and in group settings. Working alongside the program director, the fellowship assists in programs and initiatives, acting as a direct line to CALC for climate liaisons and memberbusinesses. In addition, the role provides support to a team of interns each specific to CALC’s program areas internal sustainability, political advocacy, and community building.

Responsibilities: Regular activities include:

  • Outreach to partners and friends of CALC
  • Capacity assistance to program interns
  • letter drafting and formation of policy statements
  • Campaign and event organizing

While a significant portion of time is committed to the CALC duties described above. The CALC fellow also serves as an organizer and program assistant to Green Cambridge, a partner organization working on sustainability and advocacy for green initiatives in Cambridge. Working in this dual position requires the ability to juggle multiple hats, moving between CALC’s South Boston and the Cambridge area regularly, implementing programs for both organizations, regular policy reviews, grant writing and working with community partners to build a strong coalition of organizations dedicated to working towards a comprehensive plan to act on climate.
