Description: As Head of Sustainability Management you will help our customers understand their sustainability impact, and create strategies and innovative tools to enable their implementation. Our mandates for both public and corporate customers range from providing services in the field of Sustainability Management and Reporting and Greenhouse Gas Accounting to Impact Assessment.
You will also be responsible for developing services within two Climate-KIC Flagship Projects. Being responsible for the successful and efficient implementation of our mandates, you will lead international project teams of practice experts. You will support South Poles Carbon’s Key Account Management Team in finding innovative solutions for our clients. You will also be involved in developing and improving South Pole Carbon’s offer in the field of Sustainability Management in order to further strengthen our position in this field.
Responsibilities:
Leading a team of dedicated experts
Plan projects and assign project teams with necessary know-how and skill set to ensure the most efficient and highest quality implementation of our mandates
Supervise and guide the project teams in the implementation of our mandates
Supporting our key account management team in business development
Shape proposals in direct exchange with the responsible key account managers and customers
Provide customers with proposals that match their needs and our capabilities
Shaping South Pole Carbon’s offering in the field of Sustainability Management
Enrich and enlarge South Pole Carbon’s service offering in Sustainability Management, both for the corporate and public sector
Lead and guide innovation processes within several long-term innovation projects with Climate KIC in collaboration with a broad network of stakeholders
Ensure information exchange and knowhow transfer, organize training and support for the key account managers
Qualifications:
We require you to have
University degree in science or engineering
Five years of work experience in a sustainability or a climate change-related field
Entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record in business development
Leadership experience in an international environment and ability to harness strengths of interdisciplinary teams
Strong experience in managing large international projects involving myriad stakeholders.
Understanding in sustainability management and reporting, greenhouse gas accounting and environmental impact assessment
Self-motivation with a determination to make things happen and a drive to succeed
Sense of responsibility with the ability to work independently and proactively
Proficiency in English
Willingness to travel
Experience in managing software projects is beneficial
