Description: The Columbia Land Conservancy (located in Chatham, NY) seeks an experienced conservation projects manager to assist in developing and implementing community conservation projects. This position is an integral part of CLC’s land protection team and will be responsible for working on conservation easements, tradeland projects, and fee land acquisitions; cultivating, drafting, and implementing farmland protection and farmland access projects; and working on special conservation projects, as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field and a minimum of four years of professional experience related to land use planning and/or conservation transactions (both conservation easements and fee acquisitions); more extensive experience strongly preferred. Must have the ability to work with diverse public and private interests. Background in land use planning, real estate transactions, natural science, land management, farming and forestry, and best management practices desired.
