As the first county in the nation to pass a benchmarking bill, Montgomery County is committed to providing engaging and innovative programs to help residents and businesses save energy, cut costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Energy Program Manager to represent these programs within the community, drive engagement and participation, and advance energy efficiency, clean energy generation, and emission reductions. The Program Manager position will play a key role in the management and roll-out of energy programs for the community, including the recently passed Benchmarking Law, clean energy financing, and efforts to help commercial building owners access utility incentives and make energy improvements.
As part of the newly-created Office of Sustainability, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic advocate of energy efficiency and clean energy, and bring experience successfully collaborating with diverse stakeholders to meet common energy goals.
