Description: The Center for Biological Diversity’s Endangered Species Program seeks motivated and organized interns dedicated to protecting biodiversity and thwarting the extinction crisis. Interns will work with Center scientists to

gain protections for imperiled species. The internship provides a very small stipend and will provide valuable experience with one of the nation’s most respected and cutting-edge environmental organizations.

Responsibilities:

Interns will research and compile information from the scientific literature and government publications concerning endangered species. Duties will include writing formal comments and frequent use of databases.

Qualifications:

Strong writing skills.

Excellent internet and library research skills using scholarly databases and online tools.

Excellent organization and computer skills, including proficiency using Excel. Proficiency in Access desirable.

A passion for and knowledge of protecting biodiversity.

A bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related fields. Student applications will not be accepted.
