Description: The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) is a regional membership-based, nonprofit organization based in Chicago with a mission to advance energy efficiency in the region to support sustainable economic development and environmental preservation. MEEA is committed to be a collective voice for energy efficiency at a national, regional and state levels; serves as a clearinghouse to identify, evaluate and create successful programs and market assessments for the region; and fosters communication on effective energy policy.
Responsibilities: The Membership and Marketing Associate works under the direction of the Membership Manager to assist with MEEA’s membership and marketing functions. The Membership and Marketing Associate will be responsible for supporting MEEA’s internal and external program marketing, and assist with event PR and media messaging. They will also have a supporting role in managing MEEA’s websites and social media. Responsibilities: · Support Membership Manager in all membership department activities, as needed. · Assist in development of MEEA marketing campaigns and materials, including organizational newsletter, membership benefits and program and event promotions. · Provide support in updating MEEA’s websites, including mwalliance.org and meeaconference.org · Monitor social media outlets and maintain MEEA’s voice and messaging · Work with Membership Manager to support MEEA’s branding programs and PR campaigns · Coordinate with Membership Manager and MEEA Program and Policy staff to ensure brand messaging and style guidelines are maintained. · Assist with online and on-site event management, as requested.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: · Experience with marketing in B2B and B2C environments · Experience with membership organization structure · Experience with PR programs preferred · Minimum 2 years’ experience working in organizational marketing position · B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications or a related field · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel · Experience with Word Press and HTML · High-level writing and speaking skills · Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities and adapt to shifting priorities · Passion for and commitment to energy efficiency
