Every Climate Reality intern is assigned an intern mentor who is responsible for ensuring that the intern experience is educational and rewarding. The overall objective is for the intern to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible while working with the organization.
The Climate Speakers Network (CSN) is a new program that seeks to engage the “silent majority” of Americans who are concerned about climate change, but are unsure of what they can do to support solutions. CSN trains, supports, and empowers peer messengers to use their own values and vocabulary to engage their communities on the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change. Climate Speakers represent a diverse set of backgrounds, from businesses and local community groups to churches and cultural organizations. By leveraging peer messengers and shifting the narrative on climate change to focus on solutions, the Climate Speakers Network is expanding the chorus of voices calling for action. CSN is looking for an intern to help expand the program in Summer 2015.
