Dates and compensation: Full-time position ▪ Standard office hours 10am – 6:30pm Monday through Friday (schedule can be flexible) ▪ Salary $30k – $32k depending on experience ▪ Health benefits after six months

Description: The Land Family Foundation, located in the Lower Hudson Valley, is looking for a full-time associate/administrator. The ideal candidate is an early-career professional with demonstrated interest in environmental policy, progressive advocacy campaigns, and land conservation.
Our Foundation funds a number of local and regional land conservation organizations, environmental education centers and progressive advocacy organizations. You will need to be capable of proactively researching complex issues, drafting informational materials on conservation issues, and communicating directly with our partner land trusts, coalition partners, and government officials. This position will give you ample opportunities to interact with all aspects of our work, be in the room at key meetings and events, and gain valuable nonprofit experience.
Responsibilities: ▪ Review and manage financial relationships with all grant recipients; including review of financial statements, budgets and projections. Must be completely proficient with Microsoft Excel. ▪ Develop and maintain databases relating to partner organizations ▪ Monitor all social media activities relating to relevant issues ▪ Perform administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications: ▪ Demonstrated interest in progressive public policy, environmental and land conservation issues. ▪ Some familiarity with land conservation, including knowledge of land trusts, is helpful but not required ▪ Strong oral and written communications skills, ability to communicate effectively. ▪ Experience with Social Media and Microsoft Office applications is essential. ▪ Ability to work constructively with others from a broad range of political perspectives. ▪ Must be a highly motivated self-starter – you will not have significant day-today oversight. Minimum requirements: ▪ Some knowledge of environment and land conservation issues ▪ Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.), Facebook, Twitter; database skills a plus ▪ Comfortable with financial statements and budgets ▪ Good writing skills
