Location: Ideally one intern who is local to each of the six counties covered by our 3-year project: Ulster, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Dutchess and Putnam

Description: Seeking 6 ENERGY OUTREACH members for the Hudson Valley to engage households and communities in Solarize, a proven model that makes it easier and more affordable for homewowners and small businesses to go solar. Sustainable Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountainkeeper have been awarded funding for a three-year, 6-county initiative to scale up solar electric power through community education and effective organization. This will be a summer of solar workshops, solar home tours and solar installations. Under the direction of an experienced Program Manager, the six members will form an Outreach Corps focused largely on community networking building to help plan events, engage the public, build awareness and create excitement. It is also an opportunty to learn about the business of renewable energy. Outreach Corps members should be good with communication and interpersonal skills, interested in clean energy, willing to learn some technical detail, self-motivated and good problem-solvers.
