Description: Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District seeks a Conservation GIS Analyst with a passion for conserving land and natural resources for the benefit of future generations. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with experience in spatial analysis, conservation and land use planning, spatial decision support tools, scenario planning tools and current techniques for data storage and sharing.
Qualifications:
Education: BA or BS in natural resources related field with an emphasis on spatial analysis, conservation planning, and GIS or a combination of educational course work and training which demonstrates possession of knowledge and abilities related to conservation GIS analysis.
Experience: Any combination of training and work experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge and abilities equivalent to two years professional level GIS experience in a conservation setting.
