Position Title: Coldharbour Sustainable Living Center (CSLC) Executive Director and Lecturer in Environment & Sustainability
Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Dates and compensation: Start Date: July 1, 2015; Salary: 12-month salary is commensurate with qualifications, ranging from $50,000-$60,000. Funding for the CSLC teaching reassignment is for two years.

Responsbilities: Coldharbour responsibilities include entrepreneurial development and management of the CSLC mission as a “common ground” for environmental education, cold climate sustainability and resilient land management experiments on the 300-acre Coldharbour property, Energy Smart programming for homeowners, and Local Farms First high elevation food distribution.
Acting as a bridge between Coldharbour and Western environmental education efforts, responsibilities also include teaching two courses in the academic year in Western’s MEM and ENVS programs; recruiting, supervising, and mentoring two Clark Environmental Fellows per year to complete Coldharbour projects as their graduate work, potentially serving as mentoring master’s projects toward career opportunities; and teaching an environmental summer camp for youth and an intensive residency for all MEM students each summer. Successful candidates would teach MEM courses in environmental organizational development and applied sustainability, using Coldharbour as a learning laboratory for the MEM and ENVS programs. Responsibilities also include: facilitating community partners across the region to advance the missions of CSLC and Western’s Center for Environment & Sustainability; and university service and professional activity.
Qualifications: Masters-level candidates with excellent organizational leadership and teaching skills. Preference given to applicants with Executive Director or organizational leadership experience and candidates with Ph.D.
