Position Title: Research Intern or Renewable Energy Fellow
Location: Takoma Park, Maryland
Dates and compensation: The internship comes with a stipend of $300 per month for full time and $150 a month for part time; Fellowships come with a stipend of $500 per month.

Research Internship: The Alliance offers full and part time internships for those interested in climate change and renewable energy policy. Academic credits can be applied if applicable (please specify in your application if your internship will be for credit.). We accept applications on a rolling basis.
This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about renewable energy policy and how it applies to a technology that is not always regarded as clean. This position includes policy research and writing, newsletter creation, website and social media management, as well as a portion of administrative duties. Essential to this work is a passion for renewable energy and energy efficiency. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Renewable Energy Fellowship: The Alliance offers a full time fellowship position for those committed to promoting renewable energy and getting involved in renewable energy policy. Applicants must have a college degree or equivalent experience.
The Fellowship is full time for a minimum of 3 months and involves intensive research, analysis and writing on residential renewable energy with a focus on biomass heating. The Fellowship will also involve policy work including preparing for and attending meetings and briefings with government officials at the state and federal level. The Fellow will also help prepare a monthly newsletter and engage in social networking. Background in renewable energy, climate change, government relations, poverty issues, mechanical engineering desired but not required. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
