About the Position
Blue Hill Partners is an investment firm that is focused exclusively in the Green Technology and Green Building sectors. Our mission is to be the leader in investing in innovative businesses that provide energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability as a service for the built environment. We are currently focused on a next generation funding model for energy efficiency and sustainability projects at colleges and universities. We have a small dynamic team that has deep industry knowledge and embraces curiosity and interdisciplinary thinking.
Blue Hill is looking for an intern to provide analysis, research, communications and administrative support for the Blue Hill team including the founding Managing Partner. The intern will gain exposure to multiple aspects of the green building, energy efficiency and sustainability sector and will support relationships with large property owners, investors, and innovative green technology companies. The intern will gain particularly deep exposure to energy efficiency and sustainability at colleges and universities. The position is a full time, three month assignment with the potential to transition to a full time job. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn about building companies and green investing.
Key Responsibilities
A wide variety of analytical and research projects
Support Blue Hill’s focus on providing sustainability solutions to colleges and universities
Help prepare presentations, reports, and maintain the company web site
Manage plan to obtain LEED certification for the company’s 14,000 square foot office building
Maintain operating tools including Smartsheet, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office
A focus on communication – including design and content for all marketing materials and the website
Skills and Experience
Ideal candidate will have some combination of work or educational experience in green buildings, energy efficiency, renewable energy, or environmental economics or policy.

Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment that requires multi-tasking and the capacity to shift gears quickly
Good analytical skills and ability to analyze opportunities
Good research skills for detail oriented market and industry research
Strong communication skills – both written and oral
Self-starter – someone who is highly motivated and able to work autonomously
A sense of humor and fun!!
