Overview:
Green Drinks is a monthly networking event where people in the environmental fields and the sustainably minded meet over drinks (alcoholic or non), usually in an informal setting to exchange ideas, find out who’s doing what and spreading the word on what you’re doing, finding employment leads, and making new friends and contacts.
We want to try to bring the focus on Beacon by offering FREE** 2-minute pitches to Beacon-based businesses or not-for-profits that have area projects. Email Marie-Celeste to sign up for a pitch — MUST pre-register!!!! (**Still ask though that you pay half-price admission to the event itself, $4, to help support HVGD, but the pitch itself is free – normally a $25 value.)
HVGD attendees come from all over the Hudson Valley and it’ll be nice for those of us who are not from Beacon to find out about the city from Beaconites directly! And hey, just because Beacon-based businesses/not-for-profits will be featured during the break, you’ll still have 2 1/2 hours of networking to spread the word about you and your non-Beacon-based business.
BACKYARD CHICKENS?

Anyone in Beacon have backyard chickens or ducks? Come talk to MC — bring pictures if you have any. She’s interested having duck in the City of Poughkeepsie where she lives.
