Description/Responsibilities:
– Solicit specific restoration projects for funding.
– Manage numerous and potentially complex restoration projects simultaneously.
– Oversee project implementation, including engineering, design, and construction.
– Engage towns and other partners in project feasibility and implementation, where necessary.
– Coordinate with TU chapters and councils within each watershed on projects and project funding.
– Identify funds for project engineering, design, permitting, and implementation, where necessary.
– Coordinate press opportunities to highlight project implementation, when and where appropriate.

Qualifications/Skills:
– Must be entrepreneurial, organized, and a problem-solver.
– Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.
– Professional experience in project management and river restoration required.
– Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities.
– Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively with a wide range of partners.
– Good written and oral communication skills. Previous experience with outreach and media helpful.
– Ability to work independently and take initiative to coordinate numerous activities and partners.
– Willingness to travel between northwestern Connecticut and the Catskills region of New York.
– Passion for protecting and restoring trout habitat and their watersheds.
