Description:
Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a well-qualified Assistant Staff Scientist to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished biologists, ecologists, environmental scientists, engineers, economists and planners on a variety of natural resource projects locally and throughout the United States.
This position will also provide office administrative support as needed. This support will include entering data, organizing scientific information, arranging meetings, travel, filing administrative materials, organizing office, and handling other office support duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
oProviding assistance in proposal/report writing; cost estimating
oField investigation/study design, data collection, presentation and analysis
oAssist with task and database management
oClient and regulatory agency contact
oOther project support duties as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
Requirements Basic Qualifications:
oB.S. degree or higher in biology, environmental science, or related natural science field and post-degree experience supported by course work
oExperience in one or more of the following areas: field sampling design and implementation, ecological studies, data analysis, and data interpretation
oExcellent oral and written communication skills
oAbility to travel to field sites and other Cardno ENTRIX office locations throughout North America
oAbility to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
oMust be authorized to work in U.S. without company sponsorship
Desired Qualifications:
oTraining in environmental science is desirable
o Prior experience in the consulting industry
oAbility to conduct field programs
oPositive and energetic attitude
oSelf motivated; strong initiative
oSolid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadline
