Description:
Full-time/Part-time Policy and Program Intern sought to support a DC-based policy strategy firm and a national non-profit. Both are dedicated to promoting energy efficiency and the right intern will be capable of being flexible to support both long-term research agendas and short-term legislative needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
– Supporting the research, writing and stakeholder engagement efforts;
– Conducting outreach, education, and other marketing and communications activities;
– Contributing to the execution of board and stakeholder meetings and events; and
– Assisting with administrative and operational duties and communications with Capitol Hill.
Qualifications/Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public policy, environmental studies, planning, or other relevant field;
– Excellent written and oral communication abilities;
– Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism; and
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Research experience and/or experience in the energy policy, energy efficiency and/or housing fields is an asset but not required. A completed Bachelor’s degree is not required, but should be in progress.
