Highlighting the SCALE Project
As a student-run group, the SCALE Project works tirelessly to provide not just financial support, but also information about career-advancing internships, class fee waivers, and employment opportunities at Bard and locally. True to the values and spirit of Bard College, the SCALE Project captures this essence by harnessing the ability to think critically, to anticipate future issues and gaps in resources, and to workshop solutions for increased accessibility for students.
Here is a closer look at some of the current initiatives the SCALE Project is implementing:
- Bookstore Rental Program: Students can fill out the Google Form in SCALE’s linktree to request their class books be rented or purchased from the bookstore with SCALE’s budget.
- SCALE Internship Equity Award: This award provides five students with $2,000 to compensate them for unpaid or underpaid summer internships, as well as providing support during the internship itself.
- Studio Art Lab Fee Waiver: SCALE is currently collecting funds to help waive the $100 studio arts lab fee.
On behalf of the DEI Office, a special thank you is in order to the SCALE Project for their drive and vigilance in ensuring accessible and equitable support for students in need!
