The Way We Read Now
Friday, April 21, 2023
9 am – 5 pm
Resnick Studio, Fisher Performing Arts Center
Conference registration is required for attendance.
About the Conference
What does it mean to be a reader in a world saturated with images, texts, networks, and notifications? What forms of attention do we employ as we give ourselves over to the act of reading, which can be both intensely personal and profoundly social? What role can colleges play in cultivating deep engagement with and reflection on evolving technologies of reading? How, in short, do we read, teach, and imagine new worlds through books and stories today, in the digital age?
