Each student is assigned a mailbox with a combination lock. Students will receive their locker information via Res Life. To obtain this information, log into Res Life and search ‘my annandale’. Your information will be at the top of this page. Students will need this information to open their mailbox. To avoid logging in each time, take a screenshot of your information. All USPS mail is delivered to campus mailboxes. If a USPS mail/package is too large to fit in a mailbox, the post office will notify students via e-mail ([email protected]). Students can claim their packages at the “oversize package window” in the post office. A photo ID is needed to claim packages. We do not allow anyone else to pick up your package as it is against federal regulations - please do not send anyone for you. Mail may be sent anywhere on campus via campus mail, using campus mailboxes or baskets in any office where there is a mail pick-up. To safeguard mail, follow these guidelines: do not mail cash; when sending money, use a postal money order or check that requires the bearer to present identification before it can be cashed; and use certified mail to send valuables and request a receipt. Students may purchase packaging material at the campus bookstore, as the post office does not supply these items. Transactions will be quicker and more efficient if all outgoing packages are sealed and addressed prior to shipping. This is a cash only post office. Tampering with the mail is a federal offense and is subject to disciplinary action by the College. Only post office employees are allowed behind the counter in the post office. Direct any complaints of mail tampering to the postal clerk immediately. |
