Gregory Sandstrom
Biography: Gregory Sandstrom (B.A., Wilfrid Laurier University; B.A., University of British Columbia; M.A., The Free University of Amsterdam; Ph.D., St. Petersburg State University, Russia) is a postdoctoral fellow with the Lithuanian Research Council and lecturer at the European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania. His research explores several fields on the general topic of human development: sociology, economics, anthropology, science and technology studies, media ecology, philosophy and others. He takes particular interest in the controversies over evolution, capitalism, proportionality, and the anthropic principle. Born in Canada, he has worked and studied in several countries (the Netherlands, South Korea, Mexico, USA, Scotland, Poland, Russia), defending his dissertation at the Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg (2010).
