Biography: Sculpture. Halsey Rodman is a visual artist who lives and works in New York City. His sculptural work has a structural/performative bent and often integrates geometric form with gestural painting, fragmentary figurative sculpture, diagrammatic drawing, and intense color. He has often collaborated with others to realize "event-based group figurative sculptures". Rodman received his BA in sculpture from The College of Creative Studies at UCSB and his MFA from Columbia University and has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally at venues including Guild & Greyshkul (NY) The Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art, and, in collaboration with the SFBC, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE). Recent shows include a solo presentation at Arte Portugal 10 (Lisbon) and group exhibitions at Laurel Gitlen (NY) and Sue Scott Gallery (NY). Upcoming shows include "The Erasers" curated by Corinna Kirsch at the Soap Factory (Minneapolis) and "Evidence of Bricks" curated by Kristan Kennedy (Portland, OR).Contact:
