Biography: Painting. B.A., Bard College; postgraduate program in painting at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin; Institut Hautes Etudes en Arts Plastiques, Paris. A founding member and director of Orchard, a cooperative gallery on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Solo exhibitions: Spencer Brownstone Gallery, New York; Galerie Edward Mitterrand, Geneva; and Momenta Art, Brooklyn. Recent group exhibitions include Denial Is a River, Sculpture Center, Queens; Pictures, Greene Naftali Gallery, and Painters Without Paintings & Paintings Without Painters, Orchard, New York; Crossing the Line, Queens Museum of Art; and Lodz Biennial (Poland). Recipient of Rome Prize Fellowship (1992).
