Apply Here: https://apply.interfolio.com/152407The Chemistry and Biochemistry Program at Bard College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the fall of 2025. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry, and have a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal art setting and mentoring undergraduate researchers.
The candidate will be expected to teach across the curriculum, including core courses such as Introductory Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, as well as developing new courses for non-science majors and advanced seminar courses in their area of expertise.
We are interested in faculty with research programs in interdisciplinary areas such as biochemistry, chemical biology, energy, materials, analytical, inorganic. The successful candidate will provide evidence in their research proposal indicating a trajectory suitable for involving undergraduates in all capacities. Our program is well-equipped with contemporary instrumentation for atomic, molecular, and biochemical analysis. All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and publishing research with undergraduates.

Compensation: $88,750-$91,500
This salary range reflects the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
