Contemporaneous, New Music Ensemble Founded at Bard, Presents “Day of Imagination,” A Festival of World Premieres
Founded at Bard in 2010 and led by alumni/ae, Contemporaneous presents “Day of Imagination,” a daylong festival of world premieres by Kara-Lis Coverdale, Andrés Martínez de Velasco ’15, Dylan Mattingly ’14, and Brian Petuch on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. at The Space at Irondale in Brooklyn, New York. The festival includes Mattingly’s opera Stranger Love, with a libretto written by Thomas Bartscherer, Peter Sourian Senior Lecturer in the Humanities at Bard College.
