Bard Office of Sustainability Presents
Walk and Write: A Nature Poetry Workshop
Friday, December 6, 2024
Achebe House
10:30 am – 11:30 am EST/GMT-5
Looking for an opportunity to get outside in this rejuvenating cold? To observe and to reflect? To gather in playful, poetic community? Please join BOS for a nature poetry workshop led by Louie, our graduate student intern. 10:30 am – 11:30 am EST/GMT-5
We will be taking a short nature walk to cultivate peace and inspiration, and then experiment with handmade fortune teller poems inspired by Cincinatti-based poet Leila Chatti. These fortune teller poems do not require any previous poetry experience, and follow an easy-to-replicate formula. We plan to be outside for about 15 minutes on our short nature walk, so make sure you dress warm and weather-appropriate, rain or shine!
This workshop is part of Bard's Nature Rx programming, designed to promote student health and wellness through exposure to and immersion within our beautiful natural spaces of the Hudson Valley.
