The Bard Collaborative Piano Fellows Present "The Poulenc Project"
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— The Bard College Conservatory of Music presents “The Poulenc Project,” a pair of concerts featuring the works of 20th-century French composer Francis Poulenc. Part One takes place on Saturday, October 30 at 8 p.m., and Part Two on Sunday, October 31 at 3 p.m. Both programs are in Bard’s Olin Hall. The pair of concerts devoted to the works of Francis Poulenc, one of the foremost composers of the 20th century, will feature his instrumental sonatas and his famous songs setting the poetry of Guillaume Apollinaire, Paul Éluard, Pierre de Ronsard, and Louise de Vilmorin. The programs will be performed by the Bard Collaborative Piano Fellows with singers from the Bard Graduate Vocal Arts Program and instrumentalists from The Bard College Conservatory of Music.
About the Collaborative Piano Fellowship:
The Bard Conservatory of Music Collaborative Piano Fellowship is a two-year fellowship designed to give professional experience to pianists who have a strong interest in becoming collaborative artists. The program allows students to expand their knowledge of the core collaborative piano repertoire, to get experience in playing for high-level undergraduate and graduate students under the mentorship of master musicians, and to deepen their musical understanding through the guidance of the distinguished faculty of The Bard College Conservatory of Music.
