Bard Student Saim Saeed Awarded Highest Honor at West Point's Student Conference on U.S. Affairs
Approximately 200 student delegates attended the SCUSA conference from more than 100 universities and colleges worldwide. This year's conference theme was “Thinking beyond Boundaries: Contemporary Challenges to U.S. Foreign Policy.” SCUSA delegates were divided into about 14 panels and attended panel discussions, keynotes presentations, and roundtable sessions designed to produce thought-provoking conversations between participants. By the end of the conference, each panel produced a set of policy proposal papers, the best of which are published in the Undergraduate Journal of Social Sciences. Saeed participated in the “Promoting Security and Prosperity in South and Central Asia” panel. “As a political studies major from Karachi, Pakistan, I was automatically interested in the topic of discussion,” said Saeed.
