Conjunctions, Bard College’s Celebrated Literary Magazine, Will Take Part in the 7th Annual Hudson Valley Literary Festival on Saturday, May 19, in Hudson, New York
HUDSON, N.Y.– On Saturday, May 19, Conjunctions, the innovative literary magazine published by Bard College, will take part in the 7th annual Hudson Valley Literary Festival: All LIT Up, a daylong celebration of literature and literary publishing. The event is produced by the Council of Literary Magazines & Presses (CLMP), with the Hudson Opera House and Hudson Wine Merchants. Conjunctions will be among the regional and national independent literary publishers that will have a booth at the festival’s Literary Magazine & Small Press Book Fair, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hudson Opera House (327 Warren Street). Shoppers can discover hundreds of literary publications and take advantage of bargain prices. At 5 p.m. at Hudson Wine Merchants (341 ½ Warren Street), a reading and reception features E. Tracy Grinnell, Julian Talamantez Brolaski, and Paul Legault.
Conjunctions is edited by novelist and Bard literature professor Bradford Morrow and published twice yearly by Bard College. The latest issue, Conjunctions:58, Riveted: The Obsession Issue, will be released this month and available for purchase at the festival. It features new groundbreaking fiction from Joyce Carol Oates, Sigrid Nunez, Christopher Sorrentino, Chinelo Okparanta, Jonathan Carroll, Brian Conn, renowned Swiss experimentalist Urs Allemann, and others; as well as new work from poets such as Lyn Hejinian, Robert Fernandez, Elizabeth Robinson, and Sarah Lang.
