MILTON AVERY GRADUATE SCHOOL OF THE ARTS AT BARD COLLEGE PRESENTS ITS THESIS EXHIBITION 2001 M.F.A. candidates will present music, paintings, photographs, sculptures, film/video screenings, and readings on Bard Campus and in Village of Red Hook
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College will be holding its Thesis Exhibition 2001 from July 15 through July 27. The exhibition will feature works of film and video, music, painting, photography, sculpture, and writing from 24 candidates for master of fine arts degrees. The exhibition, screenings, and readings are free and open to the public.
The following M.F.A. candidates will exhibit their work at the Bard College Exhibition Center which is located at 7401 South Broadway, Red Hook, from July 15 through July 27, on weekdays from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on weekends from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.: musician James Rouvelle-Slater; film/video artists Robert Abate, Terri Dewhirst, and Lisa Oppenheim; painters Emilie Clark, Carrie Moyer, Tara Ruth, Tina Schneider, and Hiroshi Tachibana; photographers Jennifer DeNike, Amy Eckert, Tony Gleaton, Joan Goldin, Jennifer Saffron, Raissa Venables, Jessica Watson; and sculptors Guillermo Calzadilla, Voss Finn, Megan Michalak, and Alexandra Newmark.
The following M.F.A. candidates will give presentations on the Bard College campus.
Writer Will Lavender will read from his work on July 16 in the Multipurpose Room at the Bertelsmann Campus Center at 7:00 p.m.
Writer Betsy Aaron will read from her work on July 19 in the Multipurpose Room at the Bertelsmann Campus Center at 7:00 p.m.
Film/video artist Tracey MacCullion will hold a screening on July 17 in the Weis Cinema at the Bertelsmann Campus Center at 7:00 p.m.
Film/video artist Mary Beth Reed will hold a screening on July 17 in the Weis Cinema at the Bertelsmann Campus Center at 8:30 p.m.
