Associate Dean of the College Michael Sadowski spoke with Rainbow Country, an LGBTQ-focused podcast, about his career, teaching, and new memoir, Men I’ve Never Been. Asked about his turn to memoir, a first in the genre for the author, Sadowski said he felt compelled to tell his own story, inspired by his students and others who have shared their personal journeys. Speaking to toxic masculinity and the archetypes of manhood he encountered in his youth, Men I’ve Never Been documents the “unlearning” Sadowski had to engage in as an adult.
