Biography:
Megan Callaghan (B.A., Princeton University, 1997; Ph.D., University of Michigan, 2005) is a cultural anthropologist who has taught at Bard College; Bard College of Simon’s Rock: The Early College; and with the Bard Prison Initiative. Since 1998, she has conducted ethnographic research in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with support from the National Science Foundation, Wenner Gren Foundation, and German Marshall Fund. Her research addresses youth, language politics, informal policing, and spatial contestation in the context of the Northern Ireland peace process.Contact:
