Delia Mellis
Director of College Writing and Academic Resources, Bard Prison Initiative
Biography:
Delia Mellis is the director of college writing and academic resources for the Bard Prison Initiative and the site director at Woodbourne Correctional Facility. She has been a member of the BPI faculty since 2008, and taught for four years in the Department of Urban Studies at Barnard College. She also taught in the Language and Thinking Program at Bard (2005–10) and is an associate at the Institute of Writing and Thinking. She holds a Ph.D. in United States history from the Graduate Center of City University of New York and a B.A. from Bard College.Contact:
